Battle For MacraggeThe Battle For Macragge is a boxed set that introduces you to the Warhammer 40,000 game and the grim universe that serves as the game's backdrop. Players across the globe have been playing Warhammer 40,000 (often called 40K by its fans) for decades. It is a game of tabletop battles between armies of futuristic warriors, fighting machines, and hordes of implacable aliens.

The 40K game is both rich and vast, and it will provide you with years of challenges and excitement. Battle For Macragge is an ideal way for you to get into 40K. It gradually teaches you the rules through a series of missions. Like all games of 40K, these missions take place as a part of the overall storyline of the 41st millennium. The Battle For Macragge missions are set during one particular titanic struggle between Humanity's defenders and alien attackers who know no mercy.

What Is Tabletop Wargaming?
Tabletop wargaming involves two or more players fighting for dominance over a replica battlefield, with armies of painted miniature soldiers representing troops, artillery, and powerful machines of war. What makes these battles even more fun is that they take place in the context of the distant future that forms the Warhammer 40,000 universe, as told through various hobby books and novels.

Space Marine with BolterHowever, the Battle For Macragge boxed set isn't all about rules and missions. The set contains enough high-quality Citadel miniatures to get you started, along with scenery models to add detail to your tabletop battlefields. These miniatures and models are included in the set so you can begin playing games right away. Once you get the hang of the game, you can even go back and paint these models for your first step into the rewarding 40K hobby.

The missions in Battle For Macragge show you how to use each of the miniatures in the boxed set. Each successive battle introduces a new element to the game, culminating in one large, final battle that uses all the pieces within the box. These missions are fun to play and quick to complete, but the enjoyment doesn't end there. Having played all six of them once, it is not a bad idea to talk over how they worked and what went right or wrong. Then you can swap sides and play them all again. The Battle For Macragge lets you master the rules as you venture into the dark universe of 40K.

Of course, the Battle For Macragge boxed set is just the tip of the 40K iceberg. An entire galaxy of armies, war machines, heroes, and villains awaits discovery. What's more, the tabletop gaming hobby also incorporates model making, collecting, and painting miniatures all to make your army your own. Most of all, there is a vast community of enthusiastic 40K hobbyists, clubs, and gaming stores that are ready to share ideas with you and pass on their experience. The Battle For Macragge boxed set is a door into that world.
